If you ask me what Call of Duty players are talking about in August 2026, the answer isn't just “What’s the best gun?” It's bigger than that. We're talking about Season 05 Reloaded, Zombies, Warzone changes, multiplayer maps, Endgame, weapons, challenges and the next big thing for Call of Duty . And that's why I don't think the Call of Duty ecosystem has lost its grip on the US gaming market. As Luke, and as someone who has spent plenty of time jumping between multiplayer, Call of Duty Black Ops hacks , Zombies and Warzone, I see one major difference between COD and a lot of other shooters: There is always another reason to come back. Maybe you want to grind a new weapon. Maybe your squad wants to run Warzone. Maybe a new Zombies update drops. Maybe you're chasing a challenge before the season ends. I’ve heard the same question for years now. “Is Fortnite still popular?” As someone who still jumps into Fortnite, follows the updates and watches what the community is talking about, my answer in August 2026 is pretty simple: Yeah. Very much so. But Fortnite's popularity today isn't just about dropping from the Battle Bus and trying to get a Victory Royale anymore. That's the interesting part. Fortnite has become one of those games where you can log in for completely different reasons depending on the day. Maybe you're here for Battle Royale. Maybe your friends are playing Reload. Maybe you want to revisit Fortnite OG. Maybe you're checking out a creator-made island. Or maybe a new season, collaboration or live event just gave you a reason to reinstall the game after months away.
